We want to share an important update: due to circumstances beyond our control, Playa Ponderosa is currently unable to guarantee availability for Labor Day weekend. This is related to permitting challenges with the county and forest service, not a reflection on the venue or our community.

The good news is that the spirit of Beat Retreat is alive and well, and our team is working hard to keep the fire lit.

What’s next?

Over the coming week, we’re actively exploring alternate venue options for the same weekend and will share an update by June 11.

If no suitable venue is found for Labor Day, we’ll shift gears and begin exploring alternative dates and locations later in the year. We’ll share an update by July 2 on whether we’re able to secure a camping festival experience in line with our original vision. If we don’t find a suitable option by then, all tickets purchased will be automatically refunded in full.

If you’d prefer not to wait, you’re absolutely welcome to request a full refund at any time. Just reply to this message and we’ll take care of it, no questions asked.

Regardless of what unfolds, we will be gathering over Labor Day weekend in some capacity. Whether it’s a scaled-down campout or something even more intimate and DIY, it will still be full of heart.
